Yi Li is a 5th-year Ph.D. student in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He has been working in the Rebecca Schulman Lab focusing on exploiting DNA nanotechnology to build functional nanostructures for biosensing applications. His previous research work, published on Nano Letters, addressed DNA nanostructure stabilities in the biological environment. He is currently developing a point-of-use in vitro sensor for the isothermal detection of nucleic acids. Yi is interested in being part of the research and development of novel pharmaceutical products in the biotech industry in the near future.
