Bill Bridges is President of Process Improvement Institute (PII). He is considered one of the leading authorities on process safety engineering and human error prevention. He has a BS/MS in Chemical Engineering and he has 40+ years of chemical industry experience in process engineering, process development, management and safety evaluation, and operations (including 13 years in operations). He holds 10 US patents. Mr. Bridges has a wealth of hands-on experience in operations and in implementing PSM. His last position in the industry was as a chemical plant manager. Bill has helped many companies in the petroleum, petrochemical and chemical process industries develop, implement and assess PSM programs. Bill has written 50+ articles/papers and has co-authored 5 textbooks and contributed to 2 others. Bill has taught PSM related courses, including PHA/HAZOP Leadership and Investigation/RCA Leadership since 1987. Besides PII, he also teaches through AIChE in the USA and in overseas conferences. He has trained more than 5000 in PSM-related and risk analysis-related topics.
