Varghese Kurian

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Delaware. My work focuses on the development of mathematical models for biological systems to (i) generate novel insights from these systems, and (ii) formulate model-based control problems that can identify the optimal inputs for the system. The systems being studied at present are pancreatic cancer cells, monoclonal antibodies produced in a batch process, and the human cardiovascular system in the context of COPD. I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and Madras respectively.
