Sungil Hong

Sungil Hong is a graduate student researcher at the University of Pittsburgh, under the supervision of professor Giannis Mpourmpakis. His work has centered at the ab initio density functional theory calculations about the catalysis of natural gas into value-added chemicals. In particular, he has looked at the mechanistic understanding of the methane functionalization by single-atom metal catalysts stabilized on graphene carbon nanosheet.
