Subhash Kalidindi

Hello! I am Subhash Kalidindi and I am presently pursuing PhD at Tufts University, Medford, Massachusetts in Chemical and Biological Engineering under the guidance of Prof. Hyunmin Yi. My PhD dissertation work is on "Facile fabrication of soft materials and polymeric hydrogel platforms for detection of environmental conditions and biological molecules". Overall, my research interests include Fabrication of photonic crystals (opal structures), soft smart materials and polymeric hydrogels. Previously, during my Master's at University of Toledo, Ohio, I worked on "Multifunctional Soluble Polymer Catalysts for the Synthesis of 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural from Fructose and Glucose" under the guidance of Prof. Ana C. Alba-Rubio. This work led to a patent. My thesis work was recognized with the best thesis award by the college of engineering. I also won several poster presentation awards and was elected as Omega Chi Epsilon member during my time at Toledo.
