Scott M. Husson
Dr. Scott Husson is Professor of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at Clemson University. He received his BS in chemical engineering from Penn State University in 1993 and his PhD in chemical engineering from UC Berkeley in 1998. His research group develops surface engineering methods to create advanced functional membranes for protein chromatography, CO2 capture, water purification, as well as responsive membranes with switchable surface properties and controllable barrier properties. Dr. Husson has published over 50 journal articles and book chapters and has received 3 patents. Work by his group has been selected for over 150 presentations. In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Husson has received a number of awards, including a National Science Foundation Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and the FRI/John G. Kunesh award. He now serves on the Board of Directors for the Separations Division of AICHE and the North American Membrane Society.
