Satish Parulekar

Satish J. Parulekar is Professor of Chemical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology. His research interests include biochemical engineering, chemical reaction engineering, and process modeling and optimization. He is an author/co-author of more than 100 publications and a research monograph and more than 160 presentations. He has served as a manuscript referee for 64 archival journals, served on the editorial boards of eight journals, and served on grant review panels of Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, and National Science Foundation. He has supervised thesis (M.S. and Ph.D.) work of 48 students. He has held visiting appointments at the University of Minnesota, Mumbai University, Argonne National Laboratory, and National Chemical Laboratory, India. Member of several professional and honor societies, he was a recipient of the Ernest W. Thiele Award of the AIChE and was on the Honor Roll of the Chicago Section of AIChE.
