SANDIPAN (SANDI) LASKAR is Process Safety/ Risk Leader with Occidental Petroleum Corporation, where he manages different risk management activities including process hazard analyses (PHAs), Management of Change (MOC) and perform process safety management (PSM) audits, trainings, emergency relief systems (ERS) design and facility siting studies for Permian and Midstream (Centurion Pipeline) business units within Oxy. His fields of expertise include combustible dusts, flammable liquids handling, equipment design, process optimization and development of risk management programs. He has more than 12 years of industry experience in chemical, petrochemical, petroleum and refinery processes, and has worked in process engineering, project management, process design and development of safety programs for upstream and downstream facilities. He holds a BE in petrochemical engineering from Pune University, India and a MS in petroleum engineering from University of Houston. He is a member of AICHE and Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
