Sabiha is a graduate student in chemical engineering at the University of Washington. She received her B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China, and M.S. degree in chemical engineering from the University of Washington (UW). Upon receiving her M.S. degree in 2018, she decided to continue her education and shifted her research focus to molecular simulations and computational chemistry under Prof. Pfaendtner. In her current work, she studies molecular scale chemical transformations at solid-liquid interfaces, to characterize the interplay between structure and dynamics and chemical reactivity in complex reaction networks. She has developed her data science skills through the training offered by the Data Intensive Research Enabling Clean Technologies (DIRECT) program. She is currently working on the data science project at Pacific Northwest National Lab to extend her research area to the applications of data science in chemical engineering.
