Ruth Spierling is a research engineer and project manager with MicroBio Engineering Inc. She has a Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida. Her research projects have included waste-to-energy, anaerobic digestion, algae-based wastewater treatment, algal growth and cultivation systems, and carbon capture using algae to produce high-value products.
