Raj Manivannan is a Senior Process Engineer at Dow's Separations Team. He started at Dow in February 2020. Before joining Dow, he received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University where he worked in collaboration with Fractionation Research Inc. (FRI) and quantified the effect of liquid viscosity on tray efficiency. He also developed an improved tray efficiency correlation for distillation column design at elevated liquid viscosities as part of his Ph.D. work. Dr. Manivannan is the recipient of the AIChE Separations Division Graduate Student Research Award and has authored/co-authored several presentations in the AIChE Separations Division.
