Dr. Wang is Dale Janes Endowed Associate Professor of Fire Protection & Safety Engineering and Chemical Engineering at OSU. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University with an emphasis in process safety. He is a registered professional engineer and certified safety professional. Dr. Wang has worked for Shell as a Technical Safety Engineer in Houston. During his stay at the MKO Process Safety Center, he has been exposed to a variety of industrial projects with Dow Chemical, BP, and ExxonMobil. He was named Big 12 Faculty Fellow and Halliburton Outstanding Young Faculty. Dr. Wang published over 60 referred journal papers, 20 proceedings, and over 80 technical presentations. He is the Editor of JSHER and Associate Editor of JTAC. Dr. Wang has been GCPS chair/co-chair since 2010. He has received funding from the NSF, NRC, NIOSH, CALFIRE etc. His research is in process safety and fire protection.
