Dr. Wang is Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University with an emphasis in process safety. He is a registered professional engineer and certified safety professional. Dr. Wang has worked for Shell as a Technical Safety Engineer and been faculty at Oklahoma State University. During his stay at the MKO Process Safety Center, he has been exposed to a variety of industrial projects with Dow Chemical, BP, and ExxonMobil. He was named Big 12 Faculty Fellow and Halliburton Outstanding Young Faculty. Dr. Wang published over 130 referred journal papers, 30 proceedings, and over 100 technical presentations. He is the Subject Editor of PSEP and Associate Editor of JTAC. Dr. Wang has been GCPS chair/co-chair since 2010.
