Pietro Binel

I graduated in Chemical and Bioengineering at ETH Zurich (Switzerland) in 2017; in the same year I started my PhD in the Separation Processes Laboratory led by Prof. Marco Mazzotti at ETH Zurich in the field of crystallization. My project focuses on the manipulation of size and shape of crystals through development of a process applicable in an industrial environment. The project involves both experimental work and modeling, where the latter aims at gaining insight into the design space and the former is necessary to validate the real effectiveness of the process.
