Dr Nasir Al Lagtah has joined Heriot Watt University Dubai in September 2016 after working for more than 10 years at Newcastle University, University of Manchester and Queen’s University of Belfast. His main research interest is the application of different computer-aided process design tools to investigate the possibility of industrial decolonization, the production of green chemicals and energy from renewable resources and their sustainability (mainly via life cycle analysis).
