Mengqing Guo
Mengqing Guo is a Ph. D. candidate in Chemical Engineering at the Ohio State University. Prior to joining the Ohio State University, he did his Bachelor’s degree at Tsinghua University in China. While at Tsinghua University, he studied carbon nanomaterials, such as carbon nanotube and graphene, and their utilization in lithium ion batteries. In this period, he published one first-author article and one leading-author article with more than 200 citations. At the Ohio State University, as a part of Dr. Liang-shih Fan’s Clean Energy Research group, his research focuses on catalytic modification of materials to increase their reactivity for fuel gasification and combustion. He has published nine articles with more than 50 total citation. Meanwhile, he also has four-year industrial scale pilot-unit-operation experience, especially in the area such as HAZOP, Gas Analyzer, and HMI Control, with Babcock & Wilcox and Southern Company.
