M. M. Faruque Hasan
Dr. Faruque Hasan is a Postdoctoral Associate with Professor C. A. Floudas at the Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering at Princeton University. He earned his B.Sc. in chemical engineering with honor at Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology in 2005, and completed his Ph.D. at National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2010. He worked as a research fellow (2009–2011) at NUS, and was involved in the design and optimization of an adsorption-based pilot plant for CO2 capture. He was also a visiting researcher at Qatar University and Qatargas Operating Co. Ltd. He moved to Princeton University in September 2011, and is currently investigating on hybrid energy processes, CO2 capture and management, and material selection for industrial separation. He is the recipient of the World Future Foundation PhD Prize in Environmental and Sustainability Research (2010), best technical paper award in the Annual Gas Symposium (2009), and NUS research scholarship (2005–2009).
