Kathy Shell

Kathy is a professional chemical engineer with over 35 years of experience in the areas of business and project management, process safety and risk management, safety instrumented system design, process and detailed design, installation and commissioning. She specializes in the strategic development, implementation, training and auditing of global and site level process safety and risk management systems. A senior member of AIChE, Kathy is Chair of the 2018 Global Congress on Process Safety and past Chair of the Process Plant Safety Symposium (PPSS). She is a member of AIChE’s Center for Chemical Process Safety Technical Steering Committee and Safety and Health Division. In addition, Kathy is a member of the Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center Steering Committee at Texas A&M University. She is currently the EVP of Process Safety and Lifecycle Solutions at aeSolutions, a process safety, industrial cybersecurity, and automation company.
