Joerg Weidenfeller

Dr. Joerg Weidenfeller is Director R&D / Technology at SCHMIDTSCHE SCHACK of ARVOS Group since 2014, responsible for product development of heat transfer equipment, process and heat transfer design, flow simulation, numerical analysis, corrosion and erosion assessment. Since 2016, he has been part of the core team for digital transformation and is driving product digitalization, especially with regard to predictive maintenance of heat transfer equipment. He is also patent officer of the company. Before that he worked for SIEMENS heavy duty gas turbines for ten years as test engineer and as project manager in gas turbine development in the areas of fluid dynamics, combustion and heat transfer. Dr. Weidenfeller studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt. He received his PhD in 2001 from the University of Kassel in the field of fluid dynamics and aerodynamics and after that working as senior researcher.
