Jody Olsen worked in the upstream oil and gas industry for over 27 years. Jody began her career with Mobil E&P in Bakersfield, California and later Santa Barbara. Jody then worked 11 years for Aera Energy in Ventura, California in Reliability, Facilities, and Project Engineer roles. While there her responsibilities included managing the piping mechanical integrity program and conducting failure analyses. In 2008, Jody began working for BP in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska as a Plant Engineer. She eventually moved into a Process Safety Engineer role. While at Prudhoe Bay, her work focused heavily on Management of Change, conducting and participating in Process Hazard Analyses, closing PHA recommendations, managing Process Safety Information, and conducting Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews. Jody has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. And she has a Professional Engineering license in Mechanical Engineering in the states of California and Alaska. Jody is currently self-employed.
