Jieyi Zhang

Jieyi Zhang is a 4th-year graduate student at Rice University working in the laboratory of Petroleum Thermodynamics and Flow Assurance under the guidance of Dr. Francisco Vargas. Jieyi’s research aims to develop modeling methods for the prediction of the rheological behavior of asphaltene suspensions. Prior to his study at Rice University, Jieyi studied gelation and phase separation of polymer solution during his undergraduate study at the University of Minnesota. He has also researched on enzyme breaker and low molecular weight gelators at Schlumberger.
