Henry Kohlbrand

Henry T. (Hank) Kohlbrand is the principal of HT Consulting, a consulting firm specializing in new business growth, innovation, reactive chemicals engineering, and process technology. Prior to his current role, Hank had a 36-year career at The Dow Chemical Company where he worked in a variety of senior leadership roles in R&D; Manufacturing; Environmental, Health & Safety; and Sustainability. He has led global teams in areas ranging from process technology to new business development to intellectual asset management. Hank served on the Board of Directors of AIChE and was the 2010 President of AIChE. He is a Fellow of AIChE and an Honorary Fellow of IChemE. Hank was a lead member of the team that developed the Accelerating Rate Calorimeter (ARC), a well-recognized method for determining safe conditions for handling unstable materials. He has also provided leadership to a number of non-profit boards and organizations.
