Dr. Hasan Atiyeh is a Professor in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering. He obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ottawa in Canada. Dr. Atiyeh has extensive combined academic and industrial work experience in bioprocess engineering, conversion technologies, gas and sugar fermentation, carbon capture and utilization, minimization of water usage in processing, PEM fuel cells design, hydrogen production, reactor design and process scale up. Dr. Atiyeh has authored over 55 peer-reviewed journal articles, three book chapters and over 180 invited and technical presentations at national and international meetings. He has three U.S. patents and 11 patent applications.
