Freeman E Self, Jr Freeman is employed by Bechtel, Houston, Texas as a principal process engineer. His career has spanned over 30 years, where he specializes in process safety and pressure relief design. He is a Bechtel Fellow and an AIChE Fellow. Active in technical groups such as the American Petroleum Institute’s Committee for Pressure Relief and DIERS, he presents and publishes frequently. Mr. Self graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, obtained a Masters in chemical engineering from Rice University and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston.
