Eric Fonseca

Eric Fonseca graduated from the University of South Florida in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He joined the Hennig Group in 2018 and the Computational Materials Group at NASA Ames in 2020. His research combines continuum scale models with ab-initio techniques such as density functional theory (DFT). His work focuses on the development of continuum solvation models to use in plane-wave DFT, and machine learning techniques to relate physical quantities between these two scales. In his spare time, Eric enjoys gardening, building, and traveling.
