Mr. Harrison has a wide range of experience in the development and application of risk and safety assessments for both nuclear and non-nuclear facilities and operations. Prior to joining the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), he spent more than 17 years developing and using probabilistic risk assessment techniques and approaches for specific applications involving commercial and government nuclear reactors (both current operating plants and new designs), chemical processing facilities, high-level radioactive waste repositories, security helicopter operations, Department of Energy facilities and operations, and various NRC-directed activities. In 2000, Mr. Harrison joined the NRC and is currently the senior level advisor for risk assessment within the Division of Fuel Cycle Safety, Safeguards and Environmental Review. Mr. Harrison graduated from the University of Missouri - Rolla in 1983 with a B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering.
