Cheryl gained 40 years of technical and leadership experience in hazard and risk management, management of process safety, and fire protection engineering. She retired as the VP Process Safety at BP. She is currently a CCPS consultant and a BakerRisk management consultant. Prior to BP, Cheryl worked with Mobil and ExxonMobil in Process Safety Engineering positions in Refining & Marketing and International Exploration & Production. She also worked with BakerRisk focusing on process safety risk management. Cheryl is a Fire Protection Engineer and a licensed PE. She is a CCPS and a AIChE Fellow, a CCPSC, and a CCPS Emeritus member. She has supported AIChE and CCPS for years on the Technical Steering Committee, Planning Board, Advisory Board, PAIC, and many projects including Vision 20/20, and Process Safety for Engineers – An Introduction. She is an Institute of Chemical Engineers Chartered Engineer, Fellow, and Professional Process Safety Engineer.
