Benedikt Winter

Benedikt Winter studied mechanical engineering with a specialization in chemical engineering at RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany. He graduated with his master's degree from RWTH Aachen University in 2017. During his bachelor studies, Benedikt worked on the screening of optimal solvents for separation processes, work that he continued as a research assistant during his master program. In his master thesis, Benedikt optimized renewable supply chains for polymer production under changing market conditions. In 2018 Benedikt joint André Bardow's group as a PhD student at the Institute of Technical Thermodynamics at RWTH Aachen University, and since 2020 he is a member of the Energy and Process System Engineering Group at ETH Zürich. His research is focused on the process-?design and life cycle assessment of bio-?based processes.
