Antonio C. D. Freitas

Antonio Freitas is a PhD candidate in chemical engineering at University of Campinas, UNICAMP, in Brazil. He obtained his masters degree in Chemical Engineering at UNICAMP in 2012. He has devoted most of his research in the study of the thermodynamic behavior and the thermodynamic modeling of different reforming technologies, applied in the hydrogen and syngas production from methane and different biomass materials. Part of his research was devoted to study some applications of syngas in the Fischer Tropsch synthesis for methanol, ethanol and diesel production. These studies were made using different optimization techniques applied in the Gibbs energy minimization and entropy maximization using non-linear programming approach. His list of publications comprises some papers in these fields.
