Startup uses CRISPR to minimize yellow peas' bitter taste

The use of CRISPR gene editing by Plantae Bioscience, an Israeli startup, was successful in improving the taste of yellow peas by almost eliminating the bitter taste from the plant's saponins. Plantae's team is now working on improving other fruits and vegetables using gene editing techniques.
