Scientists say they've engineered gold nanoclusters to make them kill bacteria in the body and improve the effectiveness of antibiotics. "The research has a significance on the way we should be thinking about responding to antimicrobial resistance," says Dejian Zhou, a chemical engineer from the UK's University of Leeds.
