Researchers land $1.9M grant to advance oilseed biofuels

Two Kansas State University researchers have been awarded a $1.9 million, 5-year collaborative grant from the US Department of Energy to study the biochemistry of oilseed crops and how they can be altered to produce better biofuels. Researchers Timothy Durrett and Ruth Welti will work with pennycress and camelina, which are non-food oilseed crops.
