J&J COVID-19 vaccine's shelf life extended to 4.5 months

The FDA has determined that Johnson & Johnson's single-dose COVID-19 vaccine can be kept for as long as 4.5 months before it expires, adding a month and a half to the previous shelf life. The extension was made based on studies that showed the vaccine remains stable at 4.5 months when kept refrigerated, J&J said.
