ExxonMobil has officially begun operations of a new crude unit and hydrotreaters that were built as part of a $2 billion expansion project intended to boost the crude processing capacity of its refinery in Beaumont, Texas, by 250,000 barrels per day to over 630,000 bpd. "The new crude unit enables us to produce even more transportation fuels at a time when demand is surging," said ExxonMobil Product Solutions President Karen McKee.
