Cornell engineers have developed a biodegradable vascular graft that imitates arteries' natural elasticity, aiming to improve treatment for cardiovascular disease and end-stage renal disease. The graft, created by Anova Biomedical, expands and contracts like natural vessels and degrades within a year, allowing for the growth of new cells.
