Nanoparticles are becoming important in many areas, they are used in many different applications and created by many different processes. Characterization is carried out by using a variety of different techniques, but still pose interesting analytical challenges. Because of emerging understanding of their possible effects on human health and the environment, exposure evaluation methods and hazard evaluation methods are also urgently demanded.
