(95q) Numerical Simulation of the Secondary Air Distribution Layer in the Gas Solid Fluidized Bed Based on Flunt Software

Due to the continuity beneficiation in the practical production, the gangue would accumulate on the distributor forming the gangue layer, which was called Secondary Air Distribution Layer and has vital effect on the gas distribution. In this paper, the ventilation characteristics of the secondary air distribution layer was analyzed. In addition, FLUENT software was used to study the effect of the modeled layer for the fluidity characteristics (e.g., pressure drop, bed height, volatility, etc.) in the gas-solid fluidized bed with the complex layer. The results showed that the complex layer could promote the secondary distribution of the airflow in the bed, which effectively inhibited the production of large bubbles and reduced the bed pressure drop fluctuation. Thus, it’s of significance to provide synergy effect on the fluidization stability in the fluidized bed. Based on the above analysis, the introduced complex structure would be convenient to achieve the coal separation effectively.
