Utilizing Cross-functional Collaboration for the Successful Implementation of Commercial Scale-up

In industry, the commercialization of many new products begins with studies and data collections conducted on laboratory or benchtop equipment. In order to be produced commercially, a scale up to full-scale assets is required. Due to a wide variety of materials and processes, there is no single scale-up method that can be applied, and several approaches exist.

This poster looks at a case study of scaling up a new material in which a cross-functional team was utilized to help in troubleshooting various issues that arose during the process. Ultimately the scale-up was successful and the material is being produced commercially.
