Especially in the light of an economy that continues to struggle chemical companies are forced to come up with innovative ways to improve their processes and to reduce capital and operational cost. To achieve this process intensification aims at the reduction of number of equipment used, new energy and separation technologies and smart optimization and control schemes, just to name a few. This session focuses on examples and applications from the area of process intensification.
