(71c) Safety Practices for Testing Pilot Plants – What to Avoid

This presentation will focus on testing of pilot plants prior to putting them into operation. Incoming inspections of new materials for testing and simulation will be addressed, as well as their safe handling and disposal. The benefit of a safety checklist will be explained, and how it is used to prevent some of the common safety issues that arise during testing. This presentation will deal with what to avoid during testing, based on lessons learned over the years.
