(71d) Relief Design for Laboratory and Pilot Plants

Relief design at the laboratory and pilot scale presents unique challenges when compared to full commercial plants. Properties used for relief device sizing, commercial availability of devices and methods of effluent disposal can make things difficult. Furthermore, design codes typically applied to commercial plants may or may not apply. This session will touch on some of these issues, and how they are typically handled.
