The prediction of hazardous chemical properties has been enhanced in recent years by molecular/computer modeling as well as development of improved empirical models. This session invites papers dealing with the prediction and understanding of flammability, explosivity, reactivity and other properties of ‘traditional’ chemicals as well as chemicals being developed in emerging industries such as nanomaterials, biofuels and sustainable energy.
