Instrumentation, advanced control and monitoring systems, and modeling and analysis techniques have improved dramatically since the PSM regulations came into effect. Data collection, reporting and analysis have also greatly improved. This session will focus on opportunities to leverage recent advances to more accurately predict, control and manage exposure to “traditional” PSM risks and incorporate other increasingly important focus areas such as reactivity, transportation, distribution, and combined risks. The session will also explore advances in the development and use of leading indicators to identify the changing potential for low probability, high consequence events.
