(130b) Adaptation for Chemical Engineers: Incorporating Resource Shifts Into Siting and Planning

From shifting shorelines to changes in the amount and seasonality of rainfall, climate change will dramatically alter patterns of natural resource availabiltiy.  Understanding these resource challenges and incorporating them into project design will be critical to project success and sustainability.  This presentation will review these challenges and discuss examples of how these challenges are being addressed in particular projects.
