World propylene demand is projected to increase dramatically in the coming years. Conventional steam cracking and emerging technologies dedicated to propylene production will only be able to provide a portion of the demand. FCC Units are expected to contribute a significant portion of the shortfall. This talk will focus on two main aspects of propylene production from FCC Units: 1) increasing FCC propylene yields through operations, catalyst and equipment changes, and 2) improving propylene recovery in the Gas Concentration Unit.
