OSHA is one year into a pilot Chemical National Emphasis Program (NEP) in a few select regions. This initiative will result in more inspections for all chemical manufacturing facilities over the next several years. This session is focused on feedback and experience from completed NEPs (including those under the Refining and Chemical NEPs), as well as anticipated changes and guidance for Chemical NEP inspections. The intent is to assist chemical operations in preparing for their own inspections. This session also welcomes papers on lessons learned from VPP PSM supplements self-evaluations and inspections, and OSHA’s adoption of recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP).
