Bimetallic nanoparticles of Pd-Co / Pd-Ni in MCM type mesoporous silica have been synthesized by hydro-thermal procedure using Pd(NO3)2, CoCl2, Ni(NO3)2, cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), tetramethoxysilane (TMOS), ammonia and water. These materials have been characterized using XRD, TEM, FT-IR, and BET techniques. The metal oxides in the mesoporous silica were reduced using 4% hydrogen to yield an alloy (Manuscript in preparation). The details of our ongoing characterization and catalytic studies will be presented.
