An effective management review is a powerful activity to ensure effective process safety management systems. As plant resources have declined the need for management review is greater than ever, yet many companies have a limited management review system or none at all. Management review is a void for many companies and may be the most fertile ground for a major improvement in process safety results. The purpose of this paper is ? to inspire people to start a management review system if they do not have one or to strengthen an existing system ? to give people the knowledge to develop a management review system The paper includes case histories illustrating when management review has worked and when it has not worked to emphasize the concepts.
This paper describes ? What management review is ? Why management review is important ? How to develop a management review system ? Specific examples of the types of items to be included in a management review system
