(9b) The Development of New Direct Coloring Technique for Powder Coatings

A new coloring method using fluidized bed granulation technology is developed to improve the color matching capability and manufacturing efficiency of the powder coatings. The new technique can coat a variety of color pigments in the slurry form onto the clear powder coatings produced by conventional manufacturing processes. Direct color tone control of powder coatings can be achieved by the new technique. In the presentation, the new direct coloring technique and it superior coloring performance are to be discussed.
