The session invites broad contributions where theoretical, computational and experimental approaches are used to design soft materials such as macromolecules, colloids, and composite materials with targeted structure and/or properties. Inverse design approaches can include the modification of thermodynamic driving forces in a rational way, leading to desired changes in material structure and/or properties. Examples of driving forces are bulk interactions, interactions at the interface, or the rational design of mixtures/blends.
